Scenic woodland walks are on your doorstep at Doublebois. Immerse yourself in nature and let this idyllic location work its magic on you.
The views, the setting and the chance to lose yourself in nature make Doublebois a special place in Cornwall. Head along the back of the historic Doublebois Grange - described in 1885 as ‘a house that stands on a picturesque site commanding an extensive view over the valley’ and you’ll arrive at the start of our beautiful Woodland Trail.
Here, you can follow the nature trail as it winds its way down the valley, to the pretty River Fowey below. Skim stones, cool off or simply take in the peaceful sounds of the water.
The trail is fairly gentle with a bench along the way making it ideal for families. From spotting colourful butterflies to identifying flora and fauna, it’s a lovely way to allow children to connect with nature.
Enjoy a nature trail which starts on your doorstep and takes in views of the valley, a woodland and riverside walk and many interesting natural features.
The children, even the little ones, can do the woodland walk and it’s perfect for introducing them to the names of trees, flowers and wildlife.
Trees are good for the soul and, it’s scientifically proven, good for the mind and body too. Take the trail and feel their healing properties.
If being outdoors and enjoying nature appeal to you, then Doublebois is the place to stay. Embrace the fresh air and take in the views while you play golf on the 9-hole course or sit by the River Fowey for a spot of salmon and sea trout fishing. Or you could just retire to your decking or your hot tub to enjoy the views with a drink in your hand.
